Coffee spills are one of the most common issues homeowners deal with, especially on lighter-colored furniture. This recent sofa cleaning project in Everett involved multiple coffee stains that had already started setting into the fabric.
Because coffee contains dyes and oils, stain removal usually requires more than basic surface cleaning. After inspecting the upholstery, I treated the affected areas individually before starting the main cleaning process.
The sofa was thoroughly vacuumed first to remove loose debris and dust trapped in the fabric. After that, professional upholstery solutions were applied to break down both the staining and residue left behind from previous attempts to clean the spots.
Using controlled hot water extraction, I was able to flush out a significant amount of contamination from the upholstery while keeping moisture levels balanced for safer drying.
By the end, the coffee stains were dramatically improved and the entire sofa looked noticeably brighter and fresher overall.
